| Description | Hi Jim SKB manager requested to apply latest GTVS package when Smart3 new official FW release. Whenever the new GTVS package is released, please apply it to Smart3 branch. And please check the following after updating the GTVS package. 1) Build it 2) check that the updated FW is booting and basic operation ( AV / home menu / youtube play. etc..) Hi YK, We pulled the latest GTVS packages this morning (2022/5/12). After applying it, we have boot fail issue. We've checked the root cause. we found that persmissions are missing in privapp-permissions-google-product_services.xml The problematic commit is as follow, Update GmsCore to 22.06.18 (080306-433619428) Now, we have 3 solutions, 1. Keep current GTVS packages (version is a month ago) 2. The problematic commit is in the latest commit, we can pull to the previous commit. 3. Manually fix permission issue (We don't recommend this solution, Because our GTVS git is in sync with Google GTVS git, for maintenance reasons, I think our modification should NOT appear in GTVS git, I think we should wait Google to fix it) Please discuss it with SKB and let us know SKB's plan. |

Hi YK, I've check the issue comes from SetupWizard 1. Problematic Setupwizard: After finished the Setupwizard, the value of the command (settings get secure tv_user_setup_complete) is 0 2. Normal Setupwizard: After finished the Setupwizard, the value of the command (settings get secure tv_user_setup_complete) is 1 For maintenance reasons, if we rollback the previous commit to the problematic Setup wizard, there are only new 2 commits Katniss (Google Assistant) And MediaShell (Chromcast) Do you want to apply these 2 apps or use a month ago GTVS packages (same as UI532) Thanks, Jason |

Hi Jason About SetupWizard issue 1. Problematic Setupwizard: After finished the Setupwizard, the value of the command (settings get secure tv_user_setup_complete) is 0 We don't know when this issue will suddenly occur again or when it will be resolved. So please review if it is possible to add an exception code that forces the above value to 1 after the end of the setup wizard. Thank you YK.jung |

Hi YK, This is Google's issue, why should we implement the workaround? If you have to implement this workaround, I think it's better to implement it in HomeUI application, because the first screen (SKB login screen/Launcher Home screen) is after the last page of Setup wizard. When the SKB login screen is executed (Did BTV reset before), it ensures that the SetupWizard has been completed. When the Home screen is executed (Did Google reset before), it ensures that the SetupWizard has been completed. Foxconn doesn't have any apps to know if the SetupWizard has been completed.
